The Data Privacy Day Top Ten Playlist 2023 visual illustration

The Data Privacy Day playlist is out and thank you to everyone who participated in the contest by submitting songs that capture the vibe of being a privacy professional in 2023. We hope you enjoyed the contest as much as we did!

It’s been almost 30 years since Shania Twain released her hit single  “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under”, a song which may not be as relevant today in this growing age of surveillance and location data.   Don’t You (Forget About Me), the hit from the 1985 soundtrack of ”The Breakfast Club”, continues to be taken to heart by many Canadian organizations whose data retention policies are lacking.

It’s amazing how music captures important privacy issues and listening to the tunes was an awesome trip down the memory lane for us. Your enthusiasm and engagement made the contest a success.

Congratulations to Jessica Clark, who submitted You Gotta Be” by Des’ree, and walked away with two tickets to attend Shania Twain’s Queen of Me LIVE concert at the Budweiser stage in Toronto on Friday, June 23, 2023!

Tune in to the International Data Privacy Day Top Ten Playlist 2023 and have some fun!

Happy International Data Privacy Day (and weekend)!
